History
Sri Guru Singh Sabha Cambridge is currently located at 1070 Townline Road, Cambridge.
Earlier the Gurdwara was located far from the city located at 1401 Roseville Road Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. This Gurudwara was established around 1980 and continues to serve the Sikh community till 2012.
For current location land was purchased in 2002 at 1070 Townline Road, Cambridge. This ideal location was selected in Cambridge as it is near what has recently become a large Sikh population.
In 2013, the Gurdwara Sahib was established at the new location in the house, from where the services of the Gurdwara Sahib continued till 2017. The construction of the new Gurdwara started in 2012 and the new building of the Gurdwara Sahib was completed in 2017. The new Gurdwara Sahib was established on 18 June 2017. The Gurdwara Sahib is open 7 days a week and holds daily programs for local Sikhs and visitors to pray and seek blessings.
ਸਿਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਭਾ, ਕੈਂਬਰਿਜ 1070 ਟਾਊਨਲਾਈਨ ਰੋਡ, ਕੈਂਬਰਿਜ ਵਿਖੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ।ਪਹਿਲਾ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ 1401 ਰੋਜ਼ਵਿਲੇ ਰੋਡ, ਕੈਂਬਰਿਜ, ਐਨਟਾਇਰ , ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੂਰ ਸਥਿਤ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ 1980 ਦੇ ਆਸਪਾਸ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ 2012 ਤੱਕ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ 2002 ਵਿੱਚ 1070 ਟਾਊਨਲਾਈਨ ਰੋਡ, ਕੈਮਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਵਿਖੇ ਖਰੀਦੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਸਥਾਨ ਕੈਮਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਹੁਣ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਵਸਦੀ ਹੈ।
2013 ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਨਵੀਂ ਥਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ 2017 ਤੱਕ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੀਆਂ। 2012 ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੇਂ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਨਵੀਂ ਇਮਾਰਤ 2017 ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਈ। ਨਵਾਂ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ 18 ਜੂਨ 2017 ਨੂੰ ਸੰਗਤ ਲਈ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਦੇ 7 ਦਿਨ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਚਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਲਾਨੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ
ਅਸ਼ੀਰਵਾਦ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਬਿੰਦੂ ਹੈ।
